AL-JOUF: A Saudi man went berserk and beat up an obstetrician at Sakaka General Hospital after his wife delivered a stillborn child. Staff at the hospital interfered and saved the doctor.

Al-Jouf police spokesman Col. Daman Al-Daran said police arrested the man after receiving news of the attack. According to witnesses, the father lost self-control and attacked the doctor, accusing him of killing the baby, said Al-Daran.

He said the doctor later dropped charges and the man was released. However, the case was transferred to court because the man was also charged with causing disturbance at a public place.

AL-JOUF: Marzouq Sulaiman Al-Sarhani and his wife Fakhriyah Muhammad Ziyab, whose days-old baby was stolen from the nursery of the Sakaka General Hospital around this time last year, were expecting a new baby boy who will be delivered in the coming few days.

The problem is the couple will have to deliver the baby at the same hospital they say is responsible for their painful and unresolved loss.
