JEDDAH – A forum, entitled “Saudi Women of Tomorrow: 2009″, will be held on Thursday at Jeddahs Dar Al-Hekma College under the patronage of Princess Sita Bint Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz.

The forum, which is expected to be attended by more than 600 professional women, will honor a number of young Saudi academics who are distinguished in their field of work.

Lama Galayeni, the forum president, described the event as the first of its kind, representing a national initiative in youth development and contributing to the empowerment of young women to help them shape the future.

“The forum will focus,” Galayeni said, “on the skills needed for women to develop their future role and extend their contribution to the development of society. We will be holding training courses, interactive dialogues, and interviews with young local experts, and promoting the culture of achievement.”- Okaz/SG
