Man chooses BlackBerry over wife
Filed under NewsAug 22MADINA – A man believed that he was doing the smart thing by giving up his wife rather than his smartphone, ending a nine-month marriage.
The couple got divorced because the man would not get rid of his BlackBerry upon the wifes request.
The woman said she tried hard several times to convince her husband to get rid of his BlackBerry, but he refused her requests so she asked for a divorce.
She said his using the BlackBerry was “taking a lot of his time and he continued to contact his friends and refused to disclose who his friends were,” which rose her suspicions.
She then put him to a test – either his BlackBerry or his wife. His choice for the device continued and “I asked for a divorce,” she said.
Families of the young man and woman tried to find a compromise solution, but to no avail.
The couple then ended the marriage and the wife got her official divorce document. – Okaz/SG
